Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

I have had a can of whole peeled plum tomatoes in my pantry for a while now and figured it was time to use it, so I searched and this popped up. Not sure I've ever seen ground tomatoes so I used crushed instead. Simmered it for about 2 hours and did have to add in a bit more water as it got too thick. Also added my basil in about the last 5 minutes because I heard somewhere a long time ago that fresh herbs should always be added at the end because they will lose flavor the longer they are cooked, and I believe it! :) This turned out VERY flavorful and the sugar (I used coconut sugar) does a nice job of cutting the tartness of the canned tomatoes. Very nice recipe, it's a keeper!

That looks fabulous. I really love your picture. How much would you say this makes? Four cups or so? Just wondering if I would have to halve it. :)

Thanks everyone! I think it made around 3 or 4 cups FA...I would say around 4 servings, plus it all matters about home much sauce you consider a serving too :)

My spiralizer is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets! You can spiralize almost anything too, sweet potatoes, carrots, beets. I think I've tried almost everything :)

Thanks, Michelle. I probably would cut it in half. It would be super easy to do.
