    Honey Orange Chicken
The sauce directions confused me a bit and I didn't add the orange juice. The sauce tasted a lot like butter and I think it would have been nice with the juice in it. Maybe y'all can let me know how you read the recipe instructions.

OJ is for dipping the breasts so the breading will stick.
Last 3 ingredients are to be combined and poured over the chicken after the first half-hour bake time.

Thanks, pso. That's how I read it as well. Tastes OK but I think some orange juice in it would make it better.

OK, put the leftover sauce in the refrigerator. I took off the stuff that coagulated on the top. It was probably a lot of butter, but I also figure some of it was chicken fat. Heated it up with some of the leftover chicken and rice. The honey flavor came out more instead of the butter and I liked that better. I still think some orange flavor would be nice here.

Yeah I agree, dip chicken in OJ from the instructions. I do think OJ would be good in the sauce too though! I'm not liking the idea of coating the chicken in bread crumbs and then making them soggy by pouring the sauce over them halfway through. Were the breadcrumbs wet, or did they crisp back up? Beeaauutiful pic. as well :)

They weren't crisp but not exactly soggy either only because the honey made everything a bit sticky. Not only the chicken, but my hot pads, forks, hands etc etc etc. :-) I poured the sauce on then basted two times - at 10 minute intervals.
Also forgot to add that I put aluminum foil on the cookie sheet and then buttered the foil. Clean up was a snap!

It sure looks good! Maybe next time you could go ahead and add some OJ in the sauce! That would really amp up the flavor:)
