Recipe by DetroitTokyo: Hoppin John With Mustard Greens Andouille
A well flavored dish. My first Hoppin' John. Doubled the recipe only because that's the size of Andouille the store sold.
Lots of different textures to chew through. It was very pleasing and filling.
FYI: If eaten the day after new years as left-overs, it is referred to as Skippin' Jenny.
    Looked up the etymology.

I've never had mustard greens, andouille or black eyed peas so I don't even have a clue if this looks good or not! I still haven't gotten around to looking for any greens around here. I will have to put them on my actual shopping list to remember.

We were brought up on mustard greens & black eyed peas:)
Frankieanne & Michelle, if you have room in this years garden, you can grow mustard greens! My Dad used to when he had a huge garden...
I love the sound of this recipe! You just can't go wrong with greens:)
