    A recipe from Jett2whit
    Jetts Almost Rotisserie Chicken

This was such an easy recipe! The chicken was so moist & delicious:) I didn't have any season salt so I added some salt & pepper, granulated garlic, smoked paprika and a couple of dashes of some rub my husband always makes and has on hand..it took about 5 hours, I used a 4 1/2 to 5 lb chicken, had to make my foil balls a little bit smaller so the chicken would fit in my crock pot:) I added some celery along with the onions as well... I so love this recipe Jett! Thanks to Janet (Chuckieb) for sharing the link with me in ODD!!

So glad you liked it!! I appreciate the positive feedback. It is really easy to make and especially good when you don't have to heat up the oven. Thank you!!!

I've always wanted to do a whole chicken in the slow cooker, just always been kinda scared for some reason lol! I'm saving this to give it a go!

I've done a whole chicken in the slow cooker many times. Its a good way to get (usually) at least two cups of cooked chicken done for you easily. The only thing you have to know is the skin doesn't crisp up. But, its a great way to get some moist chicken. That's a great close-up picture, Marie!!

ML2C, just make sure you get a chciken that will fit, mine was pretty close to being too big..great summer crock pot recipe:)

Thanks Frankieanne & Janet! As you can probably tell, Rick added more granulated garlic when I wasn't looking:D
