    Jewish Yeast Biscuits
Its raining here, which is nice, but it is also very cold and windy! Smelling something yeasty and warm sounded good. And it was! I cut this in half and got seven biscuits. Mine sure don't look like the poster's picture though.

Your photo looks great, Frankie! I have never heard of or made biscuits with yeast in them. Do they have a strong yeasty flavor? It's raining here, too, but I'll take it. I don't have to shovel rain!

That's a beautiful looking biscuit, Frankie. I've never seen a biscuit recipe with yeast and baking powder, interesting.

Thank you, everyone! Yes, I was intrigued by the yeast in them. It did taste yeasty, Bakerme, although not too much for me. More yeasty than in a loaf of fresh bread though. They kinda reminded me of a loaf of bread as the outside was crusty and the inside was soft.

There are several yeast biscuits/rolls here at GR. Believe Chefjeb has a nice one.

Here's the one from Chefjeb: Refrigerator Yeast Rolls
FA, it's right up your alley for cutting recipes in half. You might even want to quarter it.

I wonder what makes this a Jewish recipe.

Wow, I would quarter that one, pso. I have a recipe in my pile to try for refrigerator rolls that I tore out of some magazine. I may dig that one out.
I think she says what makes it Jewish in her intro, although I don't know of that is true or not of Jewish baking.
I did some searching on the internet for that image the poster posted. I don't think it is of these biscuits.

Frankie, I probably won't get around to making them until after Christmas, possibly the first of the year, but will let you know how the recipe worked out for me.
