Perfect recipe...and I have used them in so many delightful meals. So much so, that it's time to make a new batch. You will love them so much!

A nice smoky flavor. I could taste the bite from the vinegar and a little of the tomato from the ketchup. Not to hot for me at all. Although I only used 2 Chipotles to guard against it being too hot. I could eat this by the spoonfuls but definitely not the store bought stuff.
Did have trouble with the simmer time. On Lo, after 3 hours there was still the full compliment of liquid. Bumped the heat up to simmer and still had to wait 6 hours for the Adobo sauce to reduce down. Blended all with my stick blender.
Now I'm going to have to go out and find some recipes for this sauce.
And maybe next time I'll add in a couple more Chipotles.

It looks nice, pso! I don't think I have ever seen chipotles around here. I will have to look. I love chipotles in adobo sauce. They aren't too hot for my taste.

Too cool, never thought of making my own chipotles in adobo. The dried chipotle's are basically just dried jalapenos right? Looks good!

    Dried and smoked.
I suppose you could sub any kind of pepper in this recipe.
Mother tried a taste of this, thought it was strawberry jam, and boy did I get an ear full.
