I made Julia's Fig Newtons last weekend and they are awesome and soooo delicious. I had to share them or I would have eaten WAY too many - and everyone loved them. A total keeper and a recipe I will make over and over in years to come.

Wow, thanks everyone for all your kind comments and to Vickie for making these and liking them! Lillian, yes, you could use some other fruit filling, just make sure it isn't runny, has to be jam-like consistency, but not too sweet.
