Kheema Matar - Mince And Peas

This is the best Indian food dish I have made, ever! There seems to never be enough spice, this was perfect! You'd think the ketchup wouldn't work, but it does, and the lemon is a must. Of course the one ingredient short fairy got me :) No mint! Served over cauliflower rice which was delicious!

Just got here this morning, Don, and added your recipes to IMI. Thank you for adding them!
That's a pretty picture, Michelle. It seems from the recipe it would be full of flavor. I have to admit I have never had any Indian food. I'd say the nearest place to try some is 60 miles away.

    Beautiful picture Michelle!!
This is on my must make soon list!
FA, my parents just had Indian food for the first time a couple years ago and love it! A lot of the flavours can mimic other ethnic food like middle eastern and Asian foods. Funny though, because Curry was actually invented in Britian!
    I'm sure you'd like it! :)

Thanks Janet, I used ground beef, but ground lamb would be great too!
I just got Michael into Indian food this past year or two, he hadn't had it either! He really likes it now, and scarfed this recipe down :)

I made this yesterday and used ground beef. I had frozen mixed vegetables so added those instead of peas and it was good. Loved the mint in it!

Good call on the mixed veggies Michelle! Any veggie would probably be good in this, glad you liked it!
