    Lip Smacking Salisbury Steak
Recipe turned out well but gosh it sure makes for a party. Will cut this recipe in half or in quarter next time. Have a bunch of steaks headed for the freezer.
The smother onions can be sauteed and put in the baking broth and thickened for gravy.

That looks like one tasty meal! I keep meaning to try Salisbury steak! When I do, it will be this one! I've only ever had the TV dinner kind...when I was a kid!

    Looks great.....

Lillian, the real salisbury steak is nothing like those tv dinners from yesteryear...I used to have them too when I was a kid....The real deal will be a treat for you when you do try them.

Looks wonderful, P7O but sure does make alot. I think I would have to cut it back by at least 2/3 for just hubby and me. Thanks for the great post and picture.

Then I will definitely try it soon! And I would also have to cut back on the recipe...maybe in half!

Just put 8 of them in the freezer. Means we consumed 1/3rd of the recipe and really got stuffed. Made the 12 steak batch. So that's just under 1/2 pound a steak.

Okay...I just put this on the menu for Sunday! I think I'll make the full batch so that we can have them again on 'leftovers' night! I've been doing leftovers about once a week.

The only thing that I'll change in this recipe is to use 1 quart of beef broth instead of the bullion cubes. I'm not a fan of them...too much chemicals Then I'll omit the quart of water.

I made this too! I think I would cut the recipe in half too next time! It was very good, just needed more salt and I added flour to the gravy mixture to thicken the broth. My steaks were like mini footballs because I wanted to fit all of them in my baking dish!

I added my full review and photo to the recipe page.

And these ARE better than the t.v. dinner kind! =)
