    Manellas Mushroom Risotto

This another great recipe from manella. I did not have chicken broth which is an oddity for me so I used beef broth. It worked great and went perfect with the steak dinner.

I've never made risotto before. I have the rice and everything. I just know it takes so much time! That definitely looks like it would go well with steak!

Go for it Frankie. This was my first risotto and we both loved it. It does take about 20 minutes but I made the salad between stirring. I paired it with chicken once and salmon another time but I think that it would go well with any protein. I halved the amount of rice and it was still way more than we could eat.

I have made risotto once! This one looks great although I'm the only one in my family of 4 who likes mushrooms...could make it for myself I guess!

    A very tasty risotto.
Used Asiago. I like the taste and like to say it. :)
Used Basamati. Grabbed the wrong bag at the store.
It's a little more aldente than what I'm used to but still done.
All went together exactly to spec.
Gordon Ramsay won't throw a fit at this dish.
Not too dry. Not too wet. A nice gravy. Seasoned perfectly. Ha.
