*I only used ham *I used Muenster cheese instead of Swiss *I used Black Raspberry Jam for the "dipping" sauce but I think the cranberry/maple sauce recipe sounds delicious and I would have made it had I been making more sandwiches
My father in law is a huge fan of these sandwiches, but I personally have never made or even eaten one!! Wow those ingredients are interesting, and I love that it has a dipping sauce! Love the post GK!!!
My absolute favorite Monte Cristo is from a local restaurant chain. They batter and DEEP FRY the sandwich! I would never do that at home, but it sure is YUM as a very infrequent treat. (They also sprinkle it with powdered sugar and serve with strawberry jam.)
