    Kafta Kebab

    delicious! I only made minor tweaks by adding a lil dry mustard, some of my own dried pepper flakes and I upped the spices a touch. I don't have allspice, so I subbed a lil fresh ginger and nutmeg.(cloves can also be added as a blend for a sub, but I don't have or like cloves :). I used all venison.

    I served this with this go to sauce Easy Greek Tzatziki, herbed flat bread pockets, garlic olives, a basic spinach salad with red peppers and onions, and a medley of zucchini/onion/mushrooms that I tossed with olive oil, dill, lemon and lots of black pepper and grilled 'em while the meat cooked. Wonderful meal.

    Never heard of Kafta. Sounds like meatloaf on a stick. Did you use steaks or ground? It sure looks good tho,

    Yeah, I do miss this place when I'm not here as much...and that goes for the people, too! ;-)

    I used ground. It was more like a burger on a stick....but the herbs are a nice boost to set it apart...as is the way it's served.
