    Open Faced Shrimp Salad Sandwich
Another search with the search feature here. Just for fun, I put in "shrimp" and "gruyere." Hey, its what I had in the refrigerator. :) Well, a few recipes popped up and then I saw this one and - what? - I had already bookmarked it! I had to put aside my aversion to the thought of cooked mayonnaise (which still makes me shudder) but this is good stuff! I think it would be great cold, too. A bit more detail on the recipe. These are so pretty. I think this would be impressive for a lunch with friends.

Another pretty picture FA! This does sound very good:) I used to feel that way about cooking mayo, but after making a few recipes doing so, I got over it!!
Lori has so many wonderful recipes! Thanks Frankieanne for the heads up on this:)

What makes you shudder about cooked mayo? I guess I've never really thought about it lol! That sure looks pretty though!

I guess its just the fact that if mayonnaise sits out and gets warm, it goes bad. So the thought of heating it up just doesn't appeal to me. It is very pretty! I think this would be impressive company food. :)

Lol Frankieanne on the mayo. I use it in several casseroles too. And cakes. Cooks beautifully. But I understand your train of thought. Thanks so much for the nice review and picture. I've not had much computer time lately. Sorry for the delayed response.

Your right Frankie, this is very good! I actually think I would like it EVEN better cold like you mentioned but I didn't have enough leftover to find out :) The only change I had to make was I used white cheddar in place of the gruyere, didn't have it but bet it's delicious on this! Very good way to use leftover shrimps :)

Thanks Marie, I'm very picky about my shrimp. I only like them from one place that gets them super fresh, otherwise they taste to "fishy" to me... blech!
