    Pasta With Sausage And Peas
I had this for lunch today and cut the recipe in half as I usually do. I think the salt amount in the recipe would be way too much. I am very glad I cut it way back. I like one pot meals and this was a good combination of food stuffs. A lot more on the recipe.

Did you use the nutmeg? I love the flavor that gives to certain dishes! Yummy picture... ;)

I did use the nutmeg. First time ever in a non-baking type capacity. :) I liked it!

I'm always kind of reticent to try pasta recipes that don't have a 'sauce' per se. I'm always worried they won't have enough flavour. But perhaps the parmesan cheese in this gives it enough.
In Canada a very traditional Quebec dish is 'Tourtière', a hamburger pie, and nutmeg is a common ingredient found in that.
    Lovely picture Frankieanne!

I was thinking about the sauce thing, Chuckie. I like plain pasta so this was fine for me. Between the oil, the nutmeg and the garlic sausage, it was pretty tasty. But I can see that someone else may not care for it as it doesn't have a sauce.

I had a kielbasa that I needed to use and this was it. I added a chopped onion and red pepper flakes to heat it up. This was really goof. I liked the nutmeg in this. Oh, I also didnt have any peas. Added a pic

    No peas, no celery. Geez.
    :)
This is such a super easy recipe. I like the onion idea, too. I don't always have scallions around.

Both pictures look wonderful Mr P & Frankieanne!

Frankieanne, you used garlic sausage, that sounds like it would be perfect..There's a sausage we get that is a chicken, garlic and basil (I believe) that would be awesome in this recipe:) I'm not a big sauce person, this pasta looks just right!

I know. My celery went bad. I havent used it in a while. I actually need some for a recipe that I have been wanting to make and was going to go without it. Then I realized I was out of bacon which the recipe also calls for. Guess it will have to wait. Back to the pantry for something out of a box or can : ( The rest of this made a good cold lunch

This is definitely a good recipe if you're not into sauce, Marie. That sausage sounds perfect for this!
