Peach Cobbler

This is a far sight better than licking jam from between your toes. :)

I left lick marks on the plate. Didn't have any bread and I wanted to enjoy every Calorie I could get. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Only had one, well two, troubles with the recipe. I didn't have the right size casserole dish, so used a 7x11. It fit nicely. Only had a couple of drops of butter boil out onto the drip pan.
I had to double the time while waiting for the cobbler to pull away from the side of the dish. It never did pull away. Removed from the oven after the doubled time because I didn't want the crust to get any darker. See Pictures.

The cobbler DID pull away from the dish after it had cooled.

You'll be guarding your plate like a one armed person in prison.

Not sure I like this combination of fruit in the cobbler. I didn't have any Turbinado sugar. Thought I did. Went to the store and didn't buy any and when I went to sprinkle some on top I had to use regular sugar which made the top crust not brown properly.

That wasn't a major problem and I knew it was going to happen.

I can't knock a cobbler too bad that has a half gallon of peaches in there. I don't know. The fruit combination just didn't set right on my tongue. Or maybe I just got spoiled by the peach cobbler by Artvandelay that started this string.
