Pork Butt Rub

This is Semigourmet53's rub. Worked great, much better than others I tried. Great smoky flavor and just a little spicy.

It is, although I 'm not sure what you meant :) Making a homemade rub instead of buying one? Oh yeah, I'm all over those, I never buy packets anymore.

I don't believe I have ever seen celery flakes! That definitely looks like a good rub. I love using brown sugar on meat.

They are just dehydrated celery bits. I keep them around for when I'm too lazy to cut up celery.

Wow, I could use some of those. I hate buying a whole head of celery for one or two stocks. Thanks for the info. I'll be on the lookout.

    FINALLY.
Had to make up several chili powders to get to make this recipe.

Hi if you can not find celery flakes I used celery seeds. I just used 1 tsp and it worked great.

So glad you guys like the rub. I have a hard time finding celery flakes also sometimes. so I looked on Amazon. you can get a 4oz. package for 5.28 and celery flakes virtually weigh nothing so you will get quite a bit. Just thought I would share.
