    Salmon Patties With Dill Sauce#

Very good, tasteful recipe. I had to cut it in half and it was easy.
We don't have old bay seasoning. I made some research and made my own with mustard, paprika, celery salt, bay leaf, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger and black pepper - all powdered. I felt like an alchemist in my kitchen :)
Used 1 whole egg plus 1 egg white to add to the patties. The dipping sauce was wonderful, but I had to use mayo. I only had about 1/4 cup of sour cream in my fridge.
I served this with steamed basmati rice and broccoli and a green salad on the side.

Good for you with the alchemy. Didn't know old bay was a spice blend, I use so little of it. Wouldn't even hazard an accurate guess how long mine has been sitting in the spice rack. Decades? But I'll whip up a batch when/if I ever run out.
What a racket these spice blend companies have! A little of this and that of common spices that are already in your cabinet then charge you the dark side of the moon!

Mmmm, I love salmon and I love recipes that are easy to cut in half! I never have sour cream in my refrigerator as I'm not a big fan. Nice to know that the mayonnaise worked. Thank you for showing us, Ana! Something to do with my next batch of leftover salmon besides throwing it in my scrambled eggs. :)
