Sparow64's Grilled Chicken

    I made Lori's
    Picture Perfect Grilled Chicken
last night for dinner and it was awesome. I didn't have White Wine Worcestershire nor Lea & Perrins Chicken Marinade so I just used regular Worcestershire sauce, and I didn't have spicy mustard so just used regular yellow French's Mustard. I used chicken thighs and marinated them for about four hours. They cooked quite quickly on the grill, for maybe an hour and a bit. They were juicy and flavourful. I am putting it on my regular rotation list as the marinade is really nice and is a good change up from my regular stand by BBQ chicken recipes. I had a little nibble (or two) of the chicken cold and that is really yummy too.
    Thanks Lori. I loved it!

That looks great, Chuckie. This is going to be my next batch of chicken. I have never heard of White Wine Worcestershire or Lea & Perrins Chicken Marinade. Will have to sub Lea & Perrins regular Worcestershire. I do have spicy mustard tho : ) Thanks for the heads up.

I'm confident you guys will really enjoy it. We tend to eat chicken 75% of the time if not more, so I'm always on the search for new 'tasty' recipes. Some can tend to be 'ho-hum', but this one certainly does not fall into that category. Prior to joining GR, I'd never used Liquid Smoke in a recipe, but I'd bought some quite awhile ago and am always excited when I get to use it. It very well may have been this recipe's secret ingredient to success! :) IMHO. :)

I too have never heard of that type of lea & perrins. Sounds good though so I'm gonna keep an eye out for it since I have some thighs I need to use up! That picture sure looks good too ;)

The Lea & Perrins Chicken Marinade is right beside their worcestershire sauce in the grocery store. The worc sauce is in a paper wrapper with a brown label, and the chicken stuff is in a paper wrapper with a green label. I used to love White Wine Worcestershire, but, you can never find it anymore...the chicken marinade is the closest thing. I've used the regular worc sauce when I'm out of it. Just as good.

Thanks, ML2C. Hope you get to try it!

I wonder if you could do a white wine/Worcestershire 1/2 and 1/2 thing? I may try that. I've got a bunch of thighs to use up, too.

Frankieanne I don't think the white white worc has that much in it. It would just be a splash. It has some herbs and is a blond color. But I don't see why you couldn't add some with regular wrocestershire!

Well, I went to the grocery store yesterday and the only thing Lea & Perrins I saw was plain ol' Worcestershire. So, I'm gonna give the white wine/Worcestershire mix a try. Thighs are thawing out. Will report back tomorrow. :)

This is a very tasty recipe! I'm glad you put this here, Chuckie, as I hadn't seen it before! It gave me a chance to use some of the Coleman's mustard that has been sitting in the refrigerator as well. I'm looking forward to trying this cold tomorrow. Added my picture to the recipe. Thanks, sparow!

So how much white wine to Lea & Perrins did you end up using?

I used this marinade last night and it was really good! We had another couple over and everyone was raving about how moist it was. I used regular Worcestershire and was able to get 6 b/s breasts marinated, probably could have fit another 1-2. I marinated for about 2 hours & cooked on my indoor grill. Sorry no pic this time.

    1/2 and 1/2, ml2c, - 2 Tbs of wine and 2 Tbs of Worc sauce (4 Tbs = 1/4 of a cup).
