Sweet And Fragrant Honey Cake Loaves by: Midgelet

I made these for my family for the Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) holiday. It's a traditional offering since honey is one of the key players in this holiday's lineup, for a sweet new year.

It's sweet, but not overly so. Very good! I baked it on Friday and let it rest on the counter in a large zip bag to "age". We cut into them on Sunday evening or Monday morning and they were perfect. Moist, deep flavor, just lovely! I used chopped pecans and raisins. As the author said, it's a keeper!

Not the prettiest photo, but trust me it was good!

Dahlia, I beg to differ it is a great pic!
I am always looking for a different kind of loaf and this one fits the bill perfectly! I bookmarked this one to try soon. I love moist loaves that keep well and can be frozen.
Thanks for pointing me this post out to me:) Thanks also to Midgelet for another super post!

I couldn't have let it rest on the counter...I would have had to put it away so I wouldn't be tempted to taste a slice! :)
