Sweet And Spicy Fusion

Recipe by Keni: Sweet And Spicy Fusion/saved
A good recipe for -gone part of the day- make up. Peppers and onions weren't quite done to my liking, but still good in their own right. Suppose I could make this dish stovetop so I could saute the veggies to my liking. Other than that, it had great flavor.
Seeded two Jalapenos. It gave it just the right amount of heat.
A nice sweet and spicy mix. I also added some left over sweet and sour sauce I had from Frankieanne's pork ribs last week. It made a nice fit.
Of course I had to make gravy from the residual soup/broth from the fusion.
Used Polish Sausage, the link kind that doubles for a large hot dog. Used 3 2/3 lb sausage.
Served it over 2 lbs linguine. I'm on a restricted diet so this is going to last a while.
Mother liked it but couldn't eat much because she was full of cornbread and milk.

Finally all gone! Made 12 meals out if it for me and 4 meals for mother. If I weren't on this diet, it would have lasted 2 days MAX! Have lost 8 lbs in 18 days.

Congratulations on the weight loss, pso! Guess you're stretching the food out a lot more because of it. Good for the budget, too, I guess! :-D

I made this several weeks ago and loved it. I halved this recipe, which is a first for me (only had 1 kielbasa) I only got 2 meals out of mine though. Believe it or not, I served mine over rice. I added a pic. I really liked this. I liked the mild heat, but would add more next go around. The only thing I did differently was to use rotel. I did not have the tomato sauce. My veggies were still crisp after 5 hours. (My crock pot is on its last legs) But that was OK with me. This was a great dish Keni

Oh gosh this was nice and spicy, just what I needed! I used 4 jalapenos and the max 3 Tbs of honey. SO GOOD!! I used a garlic pork specialty sausage I had that was raw so I baked it up in the oven before hand then sliced. I made this on the stove top and my sauce was nice and thick, not thin like described, I'm guessing it had to be the cooking method? I was going to serve this over pasta but then I read Keni's suggestion over mashed potatoes so I changed my mind :) Good stuff! Added my pic, but it was really hard to make this dish look pretty.

I did not de-seed them Marie. They weren't super spicy jalapenos though, so we weren't breathing fire :P
