Sweet And Spicy Fusion
From keni 12 years agoIngredients
- 2lbs smoked kielbasa or Polish sausage, sliced shopping list
- 2 cups fresh pineapple and 1/2 cup juice(or use 1 can pineapple chunks, and it's juice) shopping list
- 2 bell peppers, chopped shopping list
- 2 medium onions, chopped shopping list
- 2-4 jalapenos, chopped shopping list
- 14oz spicy tomato sauce(from the Mexican section) shopping list
- 2T Hungarian or Spanish paprika(I used a smoked Spanish and a hot Hungarian...why not?! ;) shopping list
- 1-3T honey shopping list
- 2T spicy or Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1T worcestershire sauce shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low about 4 hours until veggies are tender.
- Serve over rice, noodles/pasta, or even a sweet bread.
- Please note, this doesn't make a "sauce", rather a sweet/spicy broth, so, you can add cooked noodles to it, if you want, and create almost a stew/soup. It would even be good served over roasted and "smashed" potatoes.

Thanks for this. Ive been looking at a lot of slow cooker recipes and I have all these ingredients. Well, except the fancy paprika.

Keni, I really liked this. When I made it I wasnt sure if it would be my thing. I halved the recipe with that in mind and because I only had 1 kielbasa. After first bite I wished I had more. Thanks for another great recipe. More in IMI more
