Taco Pizza

As I was going through recipes last week with Chris.Chris decideds to let me do 2 recipes this month.I really wanted to make 4 new recipes from this site.I all ready made Quick Banana Pudding.I got two more that I wanted to make but there's more that I wanted to make from this site. There's Vanilla Wafer Coconut Pecan Cake and Peanut Butter Cup Squares that I wanted to make.
Okay Y'All.I made Dixiediner Taco Pizza.OMG Y'All.It is out of this world good.As long you are looking for something diffrent to try. This is the one for you.Maybe you may like it as well.As I had extra on the meat.I had Chris took some of the meat out.I know that it didn't call for an onion.I add an onion. When Chris took out what he wanted and I added the meat that I had to take a little bit of the pizza.I didn't add alot of the meat to the pizza.I didn't want to over board the pizza.I added the taco chips at the end and put back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes.A total of 15 minutes.Yes 10 minutes the first time and 5 minutes at the end.

I looked at this one a while back but I wasn't sure what taco chips were. It looks like you used Fritos, which I happen to love! Sounds like a good sub. I have to have onion on my pizza, too. :)

I am almost positive taco chips = tortilla chips :) Fritos obviously work good as well and are similar in flavor, maybe a bit more salty though...
Yum, I love the taco pizza from Cici's, this sounds great! Did you put any toppings on? Lettuce or tomatoes?

I wasn't for sure though.I thought that I would use fritos. That's what the photo looks like to me on the photo on Dixiediner post [Recipe]..I wasn't even thinken about the tortilla chips.May be the next time that I may have to try it with that. Thanks for the ideal Mommyluv2cook.I had "NEVER" had Cici's before.I heard the one in Saint Joseph, Mo is pretty bad.No I didn't add any toppings.I had no sour cream.I'm not big on lettuce or tomatoes.I should because my parents and my sister ate them all the time when I was a kid.

Cici's is not that great, your right. It's a fun little buffet with mediocre pizza. The taco pizza is the only one I really care for and their spinach isn't bad. It's mainly the kiddos that love it because they have macaroni and cheese pizza! It mainly depends on what time you show up...if the pizza's been sitting under the heating lamp forever...yuck!

Taco chips = tortilla chips makes sense. I was afraid she meant Doritos and I don't care for those.
We don't have a Cici's! But, unfortunately, one of our local (not a chain) pizza places recently introduced an all you can eat pizza, salad, ice cream and soda buffet for $8.95. And I found out about it.
    :-P

Mommyluvs2cook, I had never ate there and I've also heard that there has been people who had gotten sick from Cici's.That's why I choice not to go there.I've heard that there's a recipe on google for macaroni and cheese pizza. To me it doesn't sound good.Other then that I "HATE" having pizza that has been sitting under the heating lamp for hours.
Frankieanne, I got to agree with you there. All I can say that your not missing out on any thing on the Cici's.

Lol, the Mac and cheese pizza is really only supposed to appeal to kids. I would never eat it. I ate at Cici's as a kid with my parents and have never gotten sick... I think the one in your area is a doozy.
I would like the addition of lettuce and tomatoes too...yum!

That I got to agree with you on.Knowing that it's more for kids on the Mac and cheese pizza and it'll appeal to kids.Maybe to most adults maybe.Who knows.Yeah that's where it's been happening is in the Saint Joseph, Mo area.
When it comes to lettuce that it has to be more then myself eaten it along with the tomatoes.Knowing that I can be the odd person when it comes to food and also sweets and drinks.
