Just another Manic Monday

Scrambling to get to work on time....seems to be my m.o. these days.

Connor's asparagus was a big hit and it worked with frozen spears. They were not crisp-tender, but the flavor more than made up for the texture.

Planning on defrosting the broccoli cheese soup and serving it up with toasted whole wheat and tomato sandwiches. (Just grilled tomato and slivers of onion on a sturdy bread, pressed with a heavy cast iron pan)

    have a wonderful day, ya'll.

Troubleshooting this laptop of mine. Trying to get service pack 1 and 2 installed before the support is discontinued for software without sp1 or 2.

Need to make a trip to the store for a couple things to complete a marinade for some chopped beef steaks. Once I get that done it's time to get the kitchen dirty potting-up these tomato seedlings. True leaves are coming out and had to raise the grow lights, so it's time to transplant. They are soaked well and ready to move.

    Good Morning all!

Feel like a big, juicy cheeseburger tonight so that's it for me and hubby is having a grilled chicken breast sandwich and some fries on the side!!

Yummy! Pat and Tina be sure you have your suppers ready at different times so I can make it to each house!

Good luck with the transplanting, Point.

I have some salmon steaks that I'm going to try to do something with. Not sure what just yet. Gonna have to look around for some inspiration!

Just was catching up on posts from over the weekend - everyones dinner had me drooling. Glad you had a grat time on vacation Ang. P7O sounds like the plants are doing great. Lori - salmon sounds so yummy. Curious to know how you fix it. we had cheeseburgers yesterday Pat. Love those things but try to limit myself to once or twice a month. Tina broccoli cheese soup sounds yummy.
Not sure what hubby will thaw out for dinner so surprise, surprise tonight. Made Brioche bread in the breadmaker. It was wonderful! Going to try it in rolls for Easter dinner.

I like that Ang, a "big ol' chub from Fla" LOL I might make something from our little 1 lb. chub...

Rain is RIGHT, Val. I think its just taking a breather now to start up again!

Salmon sounds good, Lori, and so does your big juicy cheeseburger and soup, Pat and Tina. Some great adjectives today - LOL

Chopped beef steaks, huh, P7O, I've never had any... What are they? Do you mean like chipped beef? Not sure what that is either.... Being blonde again....

Planned on having ham steak for second night in a row and was informed by the ol' man that he had a ham sandwich for lunch and doesn't want that! "Well STOP eating ham sandwiches for lunch!" - "What do you WANT me to eat?" and it just went down hill from there.... Sooooo something with hamburger....

LOL - Pat, that would be great, but I just made burgers on Friday night and had one of the leftover ones for lunch! No cheese though.... I don't know how many inches we're getting, but it is really raining!

I'm leaning towards tacos cuz they're easy... Doesn't sound that great to me but they're one of Brad's favorite. Imagine that, with ALL the FANCY SCHMANCY meals I make him! LOL

Change of thought - found some of the chicken/mozzarella/sun-dried sausage in the fridge (had forgot about it) gonna make up something like a baked spaghetti thing using some other pasta and top with cheese! Easy peasy and he'll think it's wonderful! LOL

LOL Ang. Thanks Pat. Well I switched it up a bit again. Gonna make a kind of lasagna with it. Using 3-cheese Italian cheese, cottage cheese, lasagna noodles, and of course the sausage in a herb and garlic tomato sauce. Let you know if it sucks! LOL

It WAS good! LOL Thanks Pat and Tina. Just finished. Brad is still working on his. (well he did have more!) had it with roasted garlic rustic bread from Costco. Delicious. So easy too. Will go in the rotation for sure.
