Good Morning Everyone! I'm taking a little break from prep getting ready for our guests who should show up within the next two hours.

    Made 4 jars of
    Gazpacho
first thing ready for lunch. Have potatoes peeled and in water ready to boil for
    Tinfoil Potatoes
as part of dinner. I'm making
Bryan And Loris Pulled Pork Bbq Or Ribs
ribs as my main dinner entree so have the ribs thawing.
For lunch I have three types of cold cuts, ham, capicolla and mortadella with fresh buns from the bakery to make sandwiches.
    I still need to make
    Apple Crisp
for dessert this evening. And I'll also cut up some carrots and cucumbers as well as tomatoes from our garden to put out on a veggie plate for dinner too.
Yes, it's a little jumbled but hopefully it'll all come together.

Just gonna go jump in the shower and if I have time for another break I'll return and answer yesterday's posts.

    Have a great Sunday everyone!

Morning! OMGoodness Janet, you are seriously the best hostess!! Lunch and dinner sound awesome! Enjoy your time with you company, you said they were only staying 1 night right?

Just got back from getting donuts for the kiddos. Bri's friend Emma stayed the weekend with us since her Mom had a wedding to got to out of town yesterday. We had our first tournament together with our new team American Thunder yesterday. We won 3 out of 5 games. There were no trophies, it was just kind of play 5 games and go home type of thing, it was free, so it was nice to just get some play time in. We were so tired when we got home, the girls fell asleep at 9pm and slept until 9:30am lol.

Not much going on today, just relaxing a bit and I need to get some housework done as well. Wishing everyone a great Sunday!!

    Good Afternoon Everyone.

Wowzers Janet ... you sure accomplished a lot and the menu sounds great. Enjoy your time with your company.

That's great the girls are playing again Michelle and nice to just play and not worry about costs and trophies. Donuts are one of my guilty pleasures.

It was good to get out of the house yesterday. The restaurant we wanted to go to last night was closed. The manager did answer the phone because she was there waiting for a delivery and I guess staff was there too cleaning out. They lost power, still don't have it, the entire complex doesn't have it and thus all their food went bad. I guess the building doesn't have an emergency generator. We went to another favorite restaurant Blue Point Oyster which was the same restaurant we went to before the storm. The staff is so nice, genuine, and the one girl told us some of them rode out the storm there because their areas were evacuated last minute and their windows are hurricane proof, they had food, and a generator for backup. Now that's saying something for that corporation. Even their pets were welcomed so all would be safe.

Nothing much planned for today. Will go to our fitness center later this afternoon. Not sure yet what to make for dinner either ... maybe hot turkey sandwiches and a veggie.

What a lovely menu you have planned for lunch and dinner, Janet. You are "The Hostess Of The Mostess"!

Nice the girls did well, Michelle. Oh, what I would do to sleep like that again! When I was a teenager I could sleep like that. Also, very nice of you to take Emma for the weekend.I bet they are having fun. I hope you have a relaxing Sunday.

Wow! What a great restaurant, Linda. So awesome to hear things like that happening. Hot turkey sandwiches sound delicious to me. I can't wait for our Thanksgiving which is only a few weeks away to have turkey again.

We did laundry today and we are having pork chops for dinner.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

Hello to all. I have to say as well Janet you are indeed quite the hostess! Ventured out today in hopes of restocking my freezer. Will have to wait. Hardly any meat in the stores at all. No eggs, no breads and barely any canned goods. Absolutely no fresh veggies. Bummer! Guess when they got deliveries everything got swooped up on right away. So will wait a few days and try again. Most all the other stores in neighboring towns are in the same boat from what I hear. They did have water though, lol! Did manage to get some chicken breasts and a pork tenderloin so with that and the ground beef I got the other day we can at least eat for a couple of days. Also scored the last lonely package of hot dogs on the shelf. But no buns! Still a few areas around without power. Feel so bad for them as it has been horribly hot!

Making the tenderloin tonight with some boiled potatoes that I already had.

    Hope all enjoy their evening.
