Good Morning Everyone! Lovely morning here in the Ottawa Valley and supposed to stay sunny all day long. Have a good day today Laurie!
I'm going to make Cabbagerolls today but will freeze them and make something else for dinner this evening. I'd been wanting a Brined Rotisserie Chicken but I didn't take the chicken out to thaw so that plan isn't any good. Also have Chicken Kiev on my mind. My stove has two ovens. One small one at the top and a large one below and the bake element of the large one blew this past week so if I use the oven it has to be for something small. Can't do a roast or anything. Will keep thinking as I have more coffee.

Happy Sunday! Football is the order of the day today - Practices this morning for the guys and then NFL games all afternoon. Supper will be a Chimichuri-style pork casserole.

Good Morning Everyone! Jason, his wife and the grandboys are coming this afternoon to play, and for Jason's belated birthday supper! He has requested salmon patties, "a boatload of mac n cheese", corn on the cob and steamed baby carrots. lol Not sure where the carrots came from, that boy never ate a carrot in his life that I knew of. Even told me to sprinkle them with a little brown sugar. (ICK for me! Rather have butter and salt). So that's the menu. He loves his Mom's old fashioned mac n cheese. Just butter, milk, and almost a whole package of american cheese melted in it. Easy enough! He wants yellow cake with chocolate icing, too. Guess I'd better get on it!

I know absolutely nothing about Football, but..."Go Pats Go" just for you Pat! Ha-ha! It is so nice outside and we did buy that box of beef yesterday so Hubby has requested BBQ steak for dinner so we're going with that. Haven't thought of sides yet.
And a Happy Football Day to you too Michelle. I too was going to request that Pork Casserole recipe as well please.
Your dinner sounds wonderful Lori and doesn't it warm the cockles of one's heart to receive 'requests' for special meals. I love it! Your Buttermilk Cake looks divine! Wow! I'd totally request that too.
Oh no....no champagne! That is a tragedy! Did you have fun dancing last night Wynne? Hope you had a good evening.

Tuna noodle casserole due out of the oven in 15 minutes.
Used Texas crowder peas instead of English peas. Both bags were right there together and I grabbed the wrong one. Not my fault. Bag was only labeled peas.
This casserole is going to be on the crunchy side.

Am getting pooped. Cleaned up the kitchen. Made 4 meals worth of cabbage rolls and then had so many cabbage leaves left from that ginormous cabbage that I froze 16 large leaves to use next time I make cabbage rolls. Will save me the whole boiling process.
Then I warmed up some lunch (Chipotle burgers, mmmmmm......) swept and washed all the floors, and now here I am. Should go out and water a couple of flower barrels. Need to think of sides for steak still. Where did the day go?

Came across a neat sounding recipe for a Stuffed Swiss Chard with Potatoes and cheese that would go lovely with the steak, but after cleaning up the kitchen I don't know where I put it....grumble, grumble, grumble....
