Tuesday Toe Day

  • otterpond 11 years ago
Silly I know but today is a big day for Dad. I'm going to cut his toe nails. His job is to put two pans of warm soapy water down and soak his feet good before I get there. Knowing him he started soaking them 2 hours ago and they will be pruney but very very soft. The joys of caring for the aged.

Following the lower extremity theme of the day it will be baked chicken legs for dinner. I have them slathered down with Mr. SuchAFuss' prize winning Kbds All Purpose Rub . I will probably make a Spring Potato Casserole to celebrate the beautiful Spring weather we are having here. I'll be out in the garden directly after the pedicure.

Janet hugs and kisses to you as you wave bon voyage to your beautiful son as he starts out on his most excellent adventure in TaiPei. What a lucky fellow he is to have such loving parents who helped him prepare so well in life to take on this exciting opportunity.
A high brow bon voyage for our Benj. Nicolai Gedda sings "Bon voyage" from Candide. Leonard Bernstein conducts London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

Laura, I very thoughtful send off to Ben you made. Not much exciting happening here today either but thanks for the reminder. I do need to cut all my nails. Have a good day “Tip Toeing Through The Tulips”:-)

Janet, All the very best to Benjamin in his travels today and seeking out his new world. He is a very lucky young fellow to be able to follow his dreams and even more so to know what they are! Not many young people know what they want to do and be in life and he is off to A Great Big Head Start. Breath big deep breaths sweetie and try to take it in your stride. ((((HUGS)))

Lori, Crossing everything for you to get a new job soon too!

I am making a hearty beef stew for dinner tonight.

Hoping everyone has an excellent day!

I would love some beef stew. Unfortunately, for no apparent reason on earth, beef stew is on the "banned" list from Mr. SuchAFuss. I think the carrots scare him or something. How in the world can he not like anything beef with potatoes and gravy. I have to love him but really.....

    Safe travels to Benjamin!!!

Dinner last night was Smoked pork chops with drunken sauerkraut and barley. This evening will be oven fried chicken wings if they've thawed. If not, baked pasta with meat sauce.

    Have a great day everyone!

    Good Morning!
Laura, dinner sounds great! LOL at Mr SAF...maybe if you call it something besides beef stew...? Seriously...beef, potatoes, and gravy...I'm THERE! I'm glad you mentioned that potato casserole again! That's on my list to try. Nice of you to help Dad.

Thanks Joce. From your lips to God's ear! :) I'm still looking. Something will turn up if I keep at it. Of course, my sister was out of work for 3 years, not for lack of trying though. But, she earns 6 figures and is way more specialized than I am. Maybe I will find something a little soonner than that.

Janet, HUGS Girlfriend! And yes, what Laura and Joce said. :) Benj's excellent adventure starts today. GOOD LUCK to him! Can't wait to hear more about it as you do. Hope you find a great new hair stylist today. I'm happy you get to have lunch with your friend today.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
