Name That Recipe

  • pkusmc 14 years ago
Ever put together a recipe and have no idea what to call it? Well, in this game we'll list the ingredients to those recipes, and everyone takes a shot at naming it. I got the idea for the game because i actually just made a dish and could not think of what to call it, besides exactly what it is, and where's the fun in that?

    Ingredients?

Roasted brussel sprouts, portabella mushrooms, pearl onions and butter poached lobster, tossed in at the end.

Let's be as creative, or just plain silly, as we can be! As soon as it's named, it will get posted. Maybe we could even have some sort of voting process for the best name? Not sure...lets go with it, and see where it takes us.

I see what you mean about calling it by what it is. Best I can come up with (without much thought) is Lobstered Veggie Trio. I’m sure others will come up with something more creative.

Earth n Surf!! That's a good one. I'll wait for a few more, and then see if there's a way to vote, or I just pick one. Hopefully I'm not the only one out there with a recipe with no name!

ha..I LOVE Earth and Surf... that's awesome :)

any answer is good because it makes the brain work... you know I have naming issues...either I get over the top in the silly department, or it's as basic as can be... and then there's one like "Whoever Smelt It"...which is ALL Ben! ;)

Whoever Smelt It is one of my favorite names for a recipe. That is still so funny. But, I have third grade toilet humor, so it will always be funny to me. I agree, Earth and Surf is awesome for this one. I'll give it until tomorrow, and see what else, if anything, comes up. But, for now, that's the one to beat! Anyone else have any recipes to toss in here to be named??

Surf n Earth…Earth n Surf…both flow pretty well..but yea, if you're playing off of Surf n Turf, it makes sense to put the surf first. Did that make sense to anyone? I just confused myself…

    Surf 'n Earth
    Earth 'n Surf

Anyone wanna vote on one of those two?

Okay, I went with Lobster's "Earth n Surf." I love how that flows, and it makes perfect sense. Didn't go with Surf n Earth, cus I didn't want it to sound like I was "Surfing Earth…" sorry…my brain works that way…if you call that working. Anyone have any other recipes to name??

    Port of Brussels Lobster Trap
I actually had to verify that Brussels isn't landlocked. I'm geographically challenged. They do indeed have ocean access and Dunkerque, France is one of the cities on the port and is a border town between Belgium and France. I believe there was a bit of skirmish there in WWII. Perhaps Brussels Dunkerque would be more elegant.
