Wanted to share this with you all.

    I received this note from a new VELVEETA member, JolieLives, and just wanted to share it with you.

    “… joined your Velveeta site a few days [ago] and still do not understand why people look at me like I have a motorcycle sticking out of my forehead when I either eat or talk about Velveeta. I will soon post the best Chili Con Casa Recipe that's made only with Velveeta as the cheese ingredient.

    I bring it to parties & it's always the first dish to disappear & am hounded for the Recipe. When I say Velveeta or nothing, I feel lucky to get out of the party without being drawn & quartered. The funniest part, is that the Recipe recipients will pull me aside, like they're making a confession to me, to whisper that they tried to make the Recipe using any & all other kinds of cheeses. Then, with a resigned deep breath, they whisper, "But it just wasn't as good as it was with Vel....a"

    This always makes me smile, as I know, there's another convert out there. One person at a time…”

    Thank you Jo & Lee for such encouraging words.

    Don’t know how many times I have suggested to snobs, to take a look at this recipe and see for themselves that Velveeta is not made out of plastic:

    Just like my “battle” about SPAM, I proudly fight for positive recognition of this American Icon.

    I wonder how many of you feel the same, or have had similar experiences? Perhaps, you’ll share with us. Thank you all for joining this group.

    Velveeta is the BEST! I agree nothing else works as good as Velveeta in recipes. Susan

    As for Spam, I understand it's made with pork shoulder, not "lips and peckers" like everyone thinks.

    I just joined this group, and I'm quite happy I did! I, too, enjoy peoples faces when they ask whats in the recipe and I say "velveeta". They always whisper back, "velveeta?"!
    Hey, what can make a better dip than Velveeta and salsa, mirowaved? soooo good.

    Can't wait for the Con Casa recipe. Who cares what others think. Post and talk till your hearts content!

    Personally I have loved Velveeta from the very moment it came out. I do NOT and will NOT use any other processed cheese.

    @CSWindoll
    JolieLives did post the recipe and it has been added to this group. Divine Con Casa. There are 11 pages of recipes here. You can look at each page to check them out but if you have a certain recipe in mind (e.g. Mac & Cheese) you can just do a search (in the box just above the group avatar), and it will bring up those recipes. Every recipe here contains Velveeta or at least the phrase: processed cheese.
    Nice to have you in the group.

    I like velveeta and love SPAM too! Not afraid to admit it, neither. Each one has a favourite and proper place in my cooking. If you have never tried barbecued SPAM, then you have never tried heaven!

    @ Rivet - I really like fried SPAM grilled cheese sandwiches. I dream about them sometimes :-) I just had one with the Buffalo Velveeta and I have to admit, it's not my favorite. For some reason, it doesn't melt. I'll stick to the original next time.
