If others would share some ways they keep from snacking on chips and chocolate, maybe we could help each other in this weight loss new year.

Little square pretzels are a good one.
Keeping some of the WW Vegetable soup on hand.........no points, filling and healthy!

The recipe is posted here, very easy with incredible flavor. You can change the veggies to suit your taste.......just don't add one with a points value.

I like the idea of WW soup..thanks Pat2me. For snacking I like the peanut butter with chocolate chip rice cakes..sometimes I spread a tsp of low fat pb on top. Another snack is almonds or you can do what my mom taught me..brush your teeth ;). It has worked for me!!

I have use the WW soup idea; I also use herbal tea. I find that mint or spicy flavours tend to give me the taste satisfaction and the hot tea makes it go more slowly than a cold drink if all I'm craving is flavour and something in my mouth. If I am actually slightly hungry (not used to smaller portions yet) I like frosted mini wheats. They are low in points, have a bit of sweetness and can last quite awhile if you eat one at a time and chew them thoroughly. They also help with the need to be "snacking", kind of like a smoker needs the hand and mouth activity even though they are quitting.

Sorry, I forgot to say that 24 frosted mini wheats or 3/4 cup (according to the box) is 3 points on the WW system.

Strawberries are very low in points, eat them on almost any kind of cereal, blueberries are awesome for you. You can put Cool whip Free on theminstead of whipped cream or regular Cool whip.......I actually like the taste better.

Fresh fruit salad is a good for you filler and a few almonds or walnuts will slow down your digestion and fill you up longer!

heard about the brushing of teeth, michelle... said that it keeps the flavour from staying so you dont look/crave after that. hehehe

i usually drink hot tea (bag) at work whenever i feel my stomach is already grumbling from hunger. fills me up and i check that its only less than 30 cal. i also go for instant cereal milk drink.

I love soda and really crave sweet drinks as a result. I find that if I have a Crystal Light singles it helps me to feel like I've had something sweet.

Another good craver stopper when you are hungry and craving something sweet is low calorie hot chocolate made with hot water. For some reason it fills me up a bit and trricks me into thinking that I've had something nice and sweet.

I find that if I eat things with high fiber you feel fuller longer and have less cravings. Of course if you just have to have something like chocolate eat a tiny bit of it, I use coco powder on top of my oatmeal sometimes and a little splenda add a banna and you are eating good.
