How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Sprinkle beef with salt, pepper and cumin
  • Sear in skillet, set aside
  • In mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and chilies, set aside
  • On floured surface, roll pastry into a 16x12 rectangle
  • Cut into 2 12x8 rectangles
  • Put beef on one side of each rectangle
  • Top with cream cheese mixture
  • Fold pastry over meat and seal seams
  • Put seam side down on baking rack that is on a baking sheet
  • Combine egg and water and brush over pastry
  • Bake 18-22 minutes
  • Let rest 5 minutes
  • Serve with salsa on side

    This sounds great. Especially since we made cream cheese and green chile burgers last week, the flavor combination is delcious.....I'm sure layered in a puff pastry would make it extraordinary. YUM!
