Ingredients

How to make it

  • Add ingredients except Parmesan Cheese & salt to machine's directions.
  • Program for pizza dough on machine.
  • When machine reaches Knead 2 step, add salt then
  • Dough should form a ball, if not, add water or flour, whichever is needed
  • When done remove from pan
  • At this time incorporate Parmesan cheese into dough (cheese will make liquid, so please do not add in with other ingredients in machine-trust me I learned the hard way!!!)
  • Grease a bowl and place dough into bowl
  • Cover and refrigerate for atleast 2 hours
  • Remove when ready
  • Knead 1 minute and let rest 15 minutes
  • Roll dough out and place on greased pan sprinkled with a little cornmeal (1 tbsp in recipe goes into bread - this is extra cornmeal)
  • I now let it rise about 20 minutes before add pizza toppings.
  • Place whatever pizza sauce you like
  • Sprinkle with extra oregano, basil, Parmesan cheese
  • Top with mozzerella cheese (I also add about 1 cup shredded Provolone cheese (optional))
  • Add meat or veggies to liking
  • Bake in preheated over of 425 for about 20-25 minutes or till nicely browned on top
  • Let rest 5 minutes before cutting
  • Enjoy!!

Alright, alright - I have seen so many wonderful sounding bread machine recipes, I am going to have to invest in one. I would love to make my own pizza crust so I could roll it as thin as we like it!!!

I'm off to the kitchen to make it. I might throw a little of King Arthur Flour's dough conditioner into it to make it a little less stretchy.

If you like to bake, you ought to send for their catalog. Lovely assortment of all different kinds of flours, pans, and gadgets.
