Peas  Pasta Recipe
Mom always made this as a quick and cheap dinner but great taste. Tomatoes, pasta & peas altogether Brings back childhood

Ingredients
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 cans (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5) diced Italian Style tomato
  • 1 can (14.5) drained Peas or 1 bag frozen, thawed
  • Seasonings:
  • Salt, Pepper, Italian Seasoning, Crushed Red Pepper, Oregano, Basil,
  • Parmesean Cheese
  • 1/2 lbs of small shell macaroni

Directions
  1. In large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat
  2. Add garlic and onions, saute till tender
  3. Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes
  4. Add 1 can of water (tomato sauce can)
  5. Add the seasonings to taste
  6. Cook till boiling, lower heat to low and simmer covered for about 30 minutes
  7. Meanwhile heat & salt water, cook macaroni till al dente
  8. Drain peas and add to pan, stir and cook about 5 mintues
  9. Add macaroni right before serving
