Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets.
  • Combine butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg and vanilla; beat until well blended; set aside.
  • Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Add to butter mixture; mix well. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.

  • DIABETIC CONVERSION (Thanks Spinach 1948)
  • Use margarine instead of butter
  • Use Splenda Brown Sugar Substitute for brown sugar

  • If watching cholesterol, use Egg Beaters instead of egg - 1/4 cup

Best cookies ever! Will make tomorrow using chocolate chips instead of the raisins. Will definitely make during holiday.

    Hi Val,
    Love your Recipe. Yummy:)
I'm going to share a secret.
Crack the Egg (I use 2) into a bowl & beat. Put the 1 Cup of Sun Maid Raisins into the beaten Egg(s) & put in the refrigerator overnight, covered with plastic wrap.
The Raisins soak up the Egg(s) & plump perfectly. Then make your cookies as directed. The flavor of the Raisins in the Oatmeal Cookies is amazing.
Let me know what you think if you try it.
    I've Bookmarked this & 5 Cookied it.
Now, all I want is a couple Sun Maid Raisin & Oatmeal Cookies.
Thank you for the share & don't tell anyone the secret;-)
