Buttery Rice With Sauteed Onions Recipe
A simple, yet delicious rice side.

Ingredients
  • 2 Cans Chicken Broth
  • 1 1/2 Cups Uncle Bens Plain White Rice
  • 1 Stick Margarine or Butter
  • 1Medium Onion Diced
  • 1 Tbsp Parsley Flakes

Directions
  1. Sautee diced onion & stick of butter in pan until clear
  2. Stir in rice & mix around to coat with onions
  3. Pour in 2 cans chicken broth
  4. Add parsley & mix around
  5. Cover pan, set to low flame
  6. Cook Covered for 30 minutes or until rice is tender

I like this one, too. When I saw Uncle Ben's I cringed, but you don't have to use the flavor packet, whew!


Yaaay, this is good! My 2-year-old son absolutely loved it - ate a huge bowlful and didn't want anything else for supper.

Instead of a second can of broth, I used a can of water to make the dish milder-tasting for my son.
