How to make it

  • In a medium sized pot, heat the oil.
  • Add the pork and brown on all sides. Remove from pan.
  • Add the onions and garlic and saute until tender.
  • Add the caraway seeds, paprika, cayenne, salt and pepper. Cook for about a minute. Then add the tomato paste.
  • Return the pork and any juices to the pot and stir thoroughly.
  • Put the sauerkraut on top and add the chicken broth.
  • Bring to the boil, cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour until meat is tender. Stirring occasionally.
  • After one hour remove the top raise heat to medium and let simmer another 5 minute to reduce the sauce.
  • Turn off the heat and add the sour cream. Mix thoroughly and serve.
