Macedonian Pasta

- 1 LB ground beef shopping list
- 2 med shallots diced shopping list
- 1/4 cup ajvar ( see my recipe) shopping list
- 12 Sicilian olives pitted and rough chopped shopping list
- 1 TBS anchovy paste shopping list
- 1 TSP worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 TBS fat Tony's Sicilian seasoning ( or Italian) shopping list
- 1 cup of base tomato sauce ( see my recipe) shopping list
- 1 TBS olive oil shopping list
- 4 servings of pasta cooked al dente shopping list
- 1/2 cup romano cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In a sauce pan add the olive oil, the shallots and saute for 3 minutes on a medium heat. Add ground beef and break aprt with a spoon.
- Cook until the pink starts to dissapear.
- Drain in a colander to remove grease.
- Put back in pan and add the seasoning, worcestershire , ajvar and stir for 1 minute.
- Add the anchovy paste, olives and stir for 30 seconds to incorporate into the mixture.
- Add the tomato sauce and simmer 20 minutes.
- Add pasta and toss for 30 seconds.
- Add cheese and toss an additional 30 seconds.
