Brewski Brisket

- 4 lb beef brisket or choice of roast shopping list
- 1 medium onion, sliced thin shopping list
- 1/4 cup chili sauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp brown sugar shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 12 oz can of dark beer shopping list
- 2 tbsp all purpose flour shopping list
How to make it
- Trim excess fat from brisket. Season with salt & pepper.
- Place meat in 13 x 9 baking dish. Cover with onion slices.
- Combine chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic and beer in a bowl.
- Pour over meat and cover with foil. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 3-1/2 hours.
- Uncover and bake for 30 minutes more, basting occasionally with juices.
- Remove meat, skim excess fat from drippings. Pour drippings into measuring cup and add water to bring to 1 cup total.
- Pour into saucepan, add flour & water. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick.
- Cut meat on bias and serve with sauce poured over the top.
