Chocolate Turtle PIE

My sweet husband requests these every time I ask him this question .."If I could bake you anything what would it be."..Here's the answer! Enjoy!
Ingredients
- cookie Crust Ingredients: shopping list
- 2 cups Oreo cookie crumbs..(I buy a bag of oreos and crunch up my own). shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted shopping list
- caramel Filling Ingredients: shopping list
- 1 cup carmel candies (20 candies) shopping list
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or whipping cream shopping list
- 1/2 pound pecan pieces (2 cups) shopping list
- Topping Ingredients: shopping list
- 3/4 cup or 4 oz. semisweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375*. Combine cookie crumbs with butter or marg. in a medium bowl. Press evenly in bottom of a 9 inch tort dish or pie plate. If necessary, use wooden spoon to press into place. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool .on a wire rack
- Filling:
- Melt caramels on stove or in microwave, stirring frequently. Stir in cream and remove from heat. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly in prepared crust. Refigerate at least 10 minutes.
- Topping;
- Melt chocolate chips on stove or in microwave. Stir in cream and drizzle over filling. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Cut and enjoy!
