Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix together, thoroughly, sugar, butter and egg. Stir in milk
  • Sift dry ingredients; add to first mixture.
  • Add nuts and stir only until nuts are blended into mixture.
  • Pour batter into a well-greased (9 1/2x5 1/2 x2 1/4 inch) loaf pan and let stand for 20 minutes before baking.
  • Bake in moderate oven of 350 degrees for about 70 minutes.
  • Note: a toothpick should come out clean when pushed into the center of the loaf.
