Pumpkin Cornbread

- 3/4 cup white flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 3 tbsp margarine shopping list
- 3 tbsp brown sugar or demarara sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease an 8 inch square pan.
- Combine the dry ingredients and put aside.
- In a large bowl mix the margarine with the sugar, eggs and pumpkin.
- Stir until well mixed.
- Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, stirring gently.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake about 25 minutes or until pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
