Chocolate Fudge Squares

A beautiful sweet, crumbly slice with a truly homemade feel about it. Great to take to a friend's house or to have on hand for visitors. Don't eat too much or you'll overload on sugar!
Ingredients
- 350grams of soft butter shopping list
- 1 cup of sugar shopping list
- 3 cups of flour shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa shopping list
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence shopping list
- 1 tin sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 4 tablespoons of golden syrup shopping list
- 1/2 cup of sugar shopping list
- 100grams of butter shopping list
How to make it
- Cream the first lot of butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add the flour, cocoa, baking powder and vanilla essence and mix thoroughly
- Press half the mixture into a large slab tin
- Warm in a saucepan condensed milk, golden syrup, the rest of the sugar and butter until melted and mixed-do not boil!
- Pour over the base and sprinkle the rest of the biscuit mixture over the top-add more flour to make it more crumbly if required
- Bake
- Take slice out and leave to set for 5 mins
- Best kept in the fridge
