Gomba Csirke Porkolt- Chicken Mushroom Stew Recipe

Ingredients

6-8 chicken thighs ( skinned and de-fatted )

1 1/2 large onion ( sliced and then quartered )

canola oil

paprika sweet

vegeta

salt

garlic powder

1 package fresh mushrooms ( washed and quartered )

sour cream

Directions

wash chicken and take off skin and fat

in a cooking pot add some oil and add onions to brown slightly.

take off heat and add paprika...I use about 2 tablespoons.

stir well and put back on medium heat and add chicken thighs.

brown a bit and then add enough water to just cover chicken pieces.

turn heat to low and let simmer for about 1 1/2 hrs. stirring frequently.

add mushrooms 1/2 hour before done and let simmer til done.

you can add sourcream to individual plates and stir.

serve with dumplings or small toasted egg noodles and a side of my cucumber salad.
