How to make it

  • Preheat oven at 350 F.
  • Place raisins and water in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, remove from heat, and let stand 5 minutes. Drain raisins, discarding water.
  • Combine flour and next 3 ingredients, stirring well. Set aside. Combine applesauce and next 3 ingredients in a large bowl. Add flour mixture to applesauce mixture, stirring until blended; fold in raisins. Pour batter into 13-inch x 9-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 F. for 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool completely on wire rack. Yield: 12
