Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Sift together first 3 ingredients into a large bowl. Set aside.
  • In a large mixer bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add instant pudding, then gelatin, mixing well. Add eggs and orange extract, mixing until well blended. Scrape down sides of bowl as necessary. Slowly add flour, mixing well.
  • Using a standard ice cream scoop (2 oz), or rounded spoonful, drop dough on to an un-greased cookie sheet
  • For 2 oz cookie, bake at 350 degrees for 16-18 minutes. For rounded tablespoon-sized cookies, bake 12-14 minutes. After one minute, transfer from pan to wire rack to cool.

One of my favorite flavor combos... McDonalds used to sell and orange/vanilla swirl ice cream that I just loved, but alas it seems when I like something, "THEY" stop selling it. hahaha

Thanks for posting this, Shawn!! ^5

Ahhh....come on! You NEVER need an excuse for cookies! haha. I tell you what I do, esp since I make dozens of cookies weekly....These freeze beautifully. Just make one or two and freeze the pre-portioned dough and put the rest in a zip-loc bag for later. I bake mine frozen....increase the baking time by 2-4 minutes. They turn out GREAT!

Thanks so much!! This is a cookie that kids really do like...it has flavors that they like a lot, plus "no nuts" or anything "weird" that kids find repulsive! haha. It's one of my favorites as well....but I'm a kid at heart!
