Crunchy Nut Cookies Recipe

How easy are these? Just six ingredients and about 15 minutes of your time (plus baking) and you're done! Popular, too. Recipe doubles (or more) easily.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg white, beaten
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (or nuts of your choice)
- *Optional: throw in some of your favourite flavour morsels, like chocolate chip ... yum!
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar in a mixer bowl. Beat until smooth. Add egg yolk and beat again.
- Add flour, mixing thoroughly.
- (If you want to add flavour morsels, stir them in now.)
- Shape mixture into small balls and roll in beaten egg white. Roll in chopped nuts.
- Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly with a fork dipped in water (or dipped in white sugar if you like).
- Bake at 350F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Makes about 2 dozen.

Ohhh, I see where they get their crunch now, rolled in beaten egg whites before the nuts...I've never tried that. New idea, and I LOVE that. Thanks CW!
