Red and green cherries in frozen ice cubes. Great drink for the kids, just can wait for the cube to melt.

Ingredients
  • 2 (6-ounce) jars red maraschino cherries, drained
  • 2 (6-ounce) jars green maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1/2 gallon distilled water
  • 1 (2-liter) bottle cherry 7-UP, chilled

Directions
  1. Place 1 red or green cherry in each compartment of 4 ice-cube trays. Fill trays with distilled water; freeze for 8 hours. Serve soft drink over ice cubes.

What a fun festive brilliant idea!


OMG - a childhood friend's mother used to make something like this when I was a little girl - she would put the cherries in as you do and then fill it with orange juice and once it was partially frozen insert toothpicks and that was our summer treat!!! Thanks for bringing that memory forward. Yours is a nice update with the cherry 7-up.

I just LOVE cherry sprite. Put a little of the cherry juice in the ice tray too and freeze then pour some sprite over it. Ummmm mmmmmmmmm thanks Jerry!!!
