How to make it
- Toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with the cornstarch and set aside. See Photo
- Heat 1 tablespoon of peanut oil in a wok or heavy skillet over high heat. Add shrimp and stir-fry until shrimp is pink but not quite done See Photo. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to wok. Heat until just before the smoking point; add the garlic, red pepper flakes and salt & pepper blend and stir-fry for 30 seconds or until you just start to smell the garlic...you don't want the garlic to turn brown or it will get bitter. See Photo
- Add the shrimp back to the wok and toss with the spices for 30 seconds.
- Serve with steamed rice.

This was fantastic! Mine didn't come out as coated as yours, I think cus my shrimp was too wet, but the flavor was all there. And SO easy! :) This, along with Jalapeno Chicken are about the only two things I get out if I go to an Asian Buffet....w...morekeni in Sweet Home loved it
