Beef & Bean Chili In A Crock Pot

chili
- 1 lb ground beef, browned & drained (I used 85/15) shopping list
- 2 medium onions, chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic (large), minced shopping list
- 2 14.5 oz cans tomatoes diced, not drained (I used fire roasted w/green chiles) shopping list
- 1 4 oz can green chiles shopping list
- 1 15 oz can kidney beans, drained shopping list
- 1 15 oz can black beans, drained shopping list
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 cup beef stock/broth shopping list
- 1 tsp cumin shopping list
- 1/2 tsp white pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp seasoned salt (I used Lawry's) shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp chili powder (more or less to your taste) shopping list
- 2 bay leaves (remove before serving) shopping list
- 1 tbsp brown sugar shopping list
- a pinch each of: allspice, celery seed, basil, cinnamon, ground cloves, and nutmeg shopping list
Garnish
- sour cream shopping list
- shredded extra sharp white cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Cover and cook 8-12 hours on low or 5-6 hours on high. Ladle into bowls and top with a dollop of sour cream and handful of shredded cheese. Serve with corn chips or corn bread. Enjoy!
