Tuna Casserole With A Twist
From Good4U 13 years agoIngredients
- 1 tin fried La Choy chow mein noodles Even better recently, I discovered if you stop by a Chinese restaurant pick up some of their fried noodles. They work just awesome in this and they cost about a dollar. You could also use 3 cups fried packaged chow mein noodles. shopping list
- If you can't find them then use coarsely ground baked potato chips like kettle chips. I have to admit I have tried them in this though. shopping list
- 2 small tins of solid white albacore tuna packed in water drained and flaked. shopping list
- 1 10 ounce can of either cream of celery soup or chicken or mushroom soup. I used Keni's recipe for the soup Make It Yourself Condensed Cream Of Soups shopping list
- 1 half a soup tin of water or 5 ounces shopping list
- 1 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1 quarter cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 quarter cup chopped cashews (optional) shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients saving 1 cup of chow mien noodles for the top.
- Place in medium casserole dish cover and bake at 350 F for 25 minutes.
- P.S. I have used leftover chicken for this did not seem to make a difference.
