- 2 1/2 cups of sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup of karo shopping list
- 1/2 cup of milk shopping list
- 6 tablespoons of butter shopping list
- vanilla shopping list
- 1 large c pecans (What is a large c?) one full cup, I suppose shopping list
How to make it
- Her instructions exactly as written:
- Take half butter and toast pecans and salt slightly.
- Boil candy for three minutes-rolling boil-add vanilla; add nuts,
- beat and beat and beat, then either drop or pour in pan for cutting.

- I toast the chopped pecans in 3 tbsp. of butter
- Combine the sugar, karo, milk, remaining butter in large heavy bottomed sauce pan, bring to rolling boil and time for three minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.
- Beat with a wooden spoon until it becomes pliable and cools down significantly. A real work out for the upper arms.
- Instead of pouring into a 9 x 9. I think it would be better dropped by the spoonful on a sheet of waxed paper to harden.
